Identity Recording Consent
This is one of the agreements a creator accepts at onboarding. It covers the short verification video recorded before any persona goes live.
Why we ask for it
It is what stops someone else cloning your voice. A voice platform without this check is a voice platform where anyone can upload a recording of you and publish a persona in your name. The verification video is how we know the person licensing a voice is the person who owns it.
What it is used for
- An automated authenticity check. A deepfake-detection service examines the recording to confirm a real person is on camera and the footage has not been synthesised or manipulated.
- Human review. A CallMyAI reviewer watches it to confirm it matches the public profiles you provided.
- A voiceprint. We derive a mathematical fingerprint of your voice from the recording and lock it. Every recording you submit afterwards is matched against it. This is the part that catches someone recording in your place, and it is what lets us resolve a later "that's my voice" dispute by measurement rather than argument.
It is never used to train your voice clone. Only your Voice Studio recordings are used for that. The verification video is an identity check, not source material.
Who can see it
Access is limited to authorised CallMyAI staff. No fan ever sees it. No other creator ever sees it. It is not part of your public profile and it is never published. You do not see it again yourself after you submit it.
How long we keep it
The verification video and the voiceprint are kept permanently as compliance records. They are excluded from routine deletion and are not removed when an account is closed — see the Age Verification & Records Statement for why records of this kind survive.
That is a deliberate trade and worth understanding: the same retention that keeps a record of your verification on file is what lets us prove, years later, that a persona built on your voice was authorised — or that one built by someone else was not.
Use in an investigation
The recording may be used in a fraud or impersonation investigation. That includes one you raise — if someone impersonates you on the platform, this is the evidence that resolves it in your favour.
