Combating child sexual abuse material
CallMyAI has zero tolerance for the sexual exploitation of children. There is no exception, no grey area, and no context in which it is permitted — not fantasy, not roleplay, not fiction, not "the participants are adults pretending". Any account involved is removed.
This page states what we detect, what happens when we detect it, and how to report a concern.
The one rule that cannot be edited
Every persona on CallMyAI runs under a fixed set of safety rules that sit above whatever a creator writes. A creator cannot see, edit, weaken, or override them, and neither can a fan. They are applied to every conversation, on every call, without exception.
The first of those rules concerns minors. If a conversation moves toward the sexualisation of a minor — or if a caller indicates or appears to be under 18 — the persona refuses and the call ends. This is not a matter of the persona's personality or the creator's preferences. It is enforced beneath them.
What we can actually detect
We would rather describe our real detection surface than borrow the language of platforms built differently from us.
Conversation — text and voice. Every call is transcribed and processed as text, which is what our safety rules operate on. A separate check runs on what a persona is about to say before the caller hears it, so generated speech is screened at the point of output rather than reviewed afterwards.
Creator profile photos. The only image surface in the product is a creator's profile photo. Those are screened by an automated image-moderation service and are also subject to human review before a persona goes live.
There is no fan upload anywhere in the product. Fans cannot submit photographs, video, audio, or files — the capability does not exist. That is worth stating plainly because it changes which controls are meaningful here. Upload-scanning regimes built around fingerprinting known illegal images, such as PhotoDNA, address a risk surface we do not have. We do not claim to run them, because there is nothing for them to scan.
What happens on detection
Where we identify apparent child sexual abuse material or apparent sexual exploitation of a minor:
- The material is removed from view immediately.
- The account is suspended and, on confirmation, terminated. Termination on this ground is permanent.
- The relevant records are preserved rather than deleted, so that they remain available to authorities.
- We report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children through the CyberTipline. Reporting apparent child sexual abuse material is a legal duty for a service provider under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A once we have actual knowledge of it, and we treat it as such.
Ending a call is not the same as reporting, and we do not treat the safety rule as discharging the reporting duty. The rule stops the conversation; the report is a separate obligation that follows.
An account terminated on this ground is not eligible for the ordinary appeals route in the way other decisions are. Where a person believes they have been terminated in error, they may write to us, but we will not restore access while a matter is under review by authorities.
Reporting a concern
Anyone can report. You do not need an account, you do not need to be involved, and you do not need to be certain. If something you saw or heard on the platform concerned you, tell us — a report that turns out to be nothing costs us very little, and a report that turns out to be something matters enormously.
Include whatever you can: which persona or creator, when, and what happened. You may report anonymously.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In the United States you can also report directly to the CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org. Reporting to us does not replace reporting to authorities, and you should never wait on us before contacting them.
We are not able to state a response time. We have no dedicated safety team, and we will not publish a commitment we cannot reliably meet. Reports in this category are the highest priority work we do and are handled ahead of everything else.
